Fall of 2023. In a parking lot, huddled around propane heaters bought that very morning, was the first Idaho Fiber Festival. It wasn’t glamorous nor was it easy, but it was the beginning. When we were finished, we knew next year there was one goal: we would be indoors.
In 2024 we did just that and moved into a small banquet room at a local hotel. It wasn’t where we wanted to end up but it was exactly where we needed to be. We kept showing up. You kept showing up. Together we kept growing and each year we never let go of the bigger vision.
In 2025 we found a larger venue, which we quickly realized was still too small as so many were excited to join and we knew our original goal was finally going to be met, Expo Idaho.
We hoped from the beginning that if we built it, they would come and you have! We have enough vendors wanting to join and the community is ready to support it.
Starting in 2026 and moving forward, our event will be held at Expo Idaho’s Premium Building.
From a cold parking lot in 2023 to Expo Idaho in 2026. What started with propane heaters and big dreams has grown into something truly special, because of you. Thank you to everyone who believed, supported, volunteered, and showed up. The best is still ahead.
